records........................

I am a dying breed. A breed of people who actually go out, away from their computer screens and interact face to face with strangers to buy music. Yes we are dying breed, with the easy access of music being constantly streamed on the interent it's no wonder why record sales have dropped and fewer and fewer people are actually buying music. I personally continue to purchase CD's because I prefer having a physical copy of my music, it just has this feeling to it that downloads just don't and you can't deny that a large collection of CD's looks fabulous when put up on shelves and racks and what not. Though I do understand why people are downloading and why bands are perfectly fine with it (for the most part, cough cough Metallica). It's easy and efficient way to get a bands music to their audience and without having to wait for the production of albums to be finished, the only ones who are getting hurt by this are the record companies and who gives a damn about those greedy corporate rats. Now this is not to say that CD's are completely dead, for I have noticed when a person really does enjoy a band, they'll go out and buy their albums to support said band. They've even started to release newer works on vinyl, imagine that, a musical technology that began in the early decades of the 20th century still being used in our day in age. Now regardless of how you feeling about downloading, I just want to voice a bit of my opinion on a subject that I truly love, and remember to support your local record stores.
Isn't this just a beautiful sight, why wouldn't you want this around?
