To be completely blunt, I think the idea that the world will end on December 21st, 2012 is a load of anal waste. However I'll be more specific than just that and explain a little bit of why I feel such a way. For one, the end of the world has been predicted several times before and guess what? We're still here. Secondly, the Mayan calender ends on that date because they believed it was the end of this era and the next begins on that day, it's like buying a new calender for the upcoming year. Finally, I'm not going to believe what a race that died out how long ago because they're technology fell behind has to say about an apple peeler let alone the apocalypse. Now what I would do on December 20th if this event was to occur would be whatever I had not yet exprienced at the time. I don't mean something like climb Mount Everest or swim down to the Marianas Trench. I mean going to a store that I've passed several times but never been in, play a sport or game that I've never tried or just express my feelings to those who matter i.e. everyone I despise, with a hammer... This is essentially all I would do, just to give my life some closure rather than have all these great expectations that wouldn't possibly be able to be met in a single day.

postsecret..................
I, ummmm, don't know what to say about said website. It's a rather peculier though interesting non the less. Said site allows people to post photos that have a secret imbedded in the photo. This could range over several different topics, obviously because secrets are the same way. Though some of them are rather unnecessary, an example being one of the photos saying a person chooses one eating disorder over another because it would effect their gag reflex in a particular situation. Now this did make me laugh but this does not change the fact that I didn't need to see that. Another made me chuckle due to how it sounded, "I pick my best friends on whether or not they would help me bury a body". That just made me giggle. All in all, this website is fairly nice to pass the time, to see what someone will reveal or what craziness and individual's mind can produce. So I'd recommend checking it out just be prepared for a few odd things here and there.
This one gave me a good laugh as well.

peeved.................
The question of "what is your pet peeve" is a little difficult for me to answer. This is due to the fact that people just irritate me in general and it's hard to narrow down how they infuriate to one simple answer. I can however, list a few of the most prominant pet peeves I have. The use of internet slang and abbreviations such as "lol" and "omg" really rub me the wrong way, I have no true reason for this it just angers me greatly, esspecially when someone uses it in an actualy conversation, that just shows signs of stupidity. Another would be when teenagers talk so frequently about how drunk they're going to get, almost makes steam shoot from my ears. Do you really think anyone cares? Do you truly think that people will respect you for being an itoxicated mess, vomiting down a flight of stairs at your buddy's place? Don't get me wrong, I like the occasional chilly beer on a warm summer's day, but I'm not acting as if I'm king of the planet with almighty powers. Now some of you will read this and think "that's not true, your just being retarded", well the thing is a lot of people do act this way. Maybe it's because of family issues or low self-esteem, I really don't care. If you're going to talk about this, do so at a volume which my cynical hearing and pessimistic mind can't pick up on it and predict when your going to die of a combination of alcohol poisoning and moronic behaviour. This got a little longer than I originally intend and so I'll end this post with a simple message, smarten up people.
yeah that's dignified.....
records........................
I am a dying breed. A breed of people who actually go out, away from their computer screens and interact face to face with strangers to buy music. Yes we are dying breed, with the easy access of music being constantly streamed on the interent it's no wonder why record sales have dropped and fewer and fewer people are actually buying music. I personally continue to purchase CD's because I prefer having a physical copy of my music, it just has this feeling to it that downloads just don't and you can't deny that a large collection of CD's looks fabulous when put up on shelves and racks and what not. Though I do understand why people are downloading and why bands are perfectly fine with it (for the most part, cough cough Metallica). It's easy and efficient way to get a bands music to their audience and without having to wait for the production of albums to be finished, the only ones who are getting hurt by this are the record companies and who gives a damn about those greedy corporate rats. Now this is not to say that CD's are completely dead, for I have noticed when a person really does enjoy a band, they'll go out and buy their albums to support said band. They've even started to release newer works on vinyl, imagine that, a musical technology that began in the early decades of the 20th century still being used in our day in age. Now regardless of how you feeling about downloading, I just want to voice a bit of my opinion on a subject that I truly love, and remember to support your local record stores.
Isn't this just a beautiful sight, why wouldn't you want this around?

review...............
Back Through Time by Alestorm, the latest release by the mighty Scottish pirate metal band is, even after only listening to a few tracks, is a another solid and awesome album. The titled track "Back Through Time" focuses on a crew of pirates going back through time (what a shocker) to fight and kill vikings. Now being that I am somewhat of a viking I was a little bleh about it, however the music is so folky and fun with that destinct Alestorm feeling is just wonderful and can get anyone to raise their goblets of rum and dance around. Shipwrecked is a good follow tune on the album that is a little more serious than Through Time but just as much fun and a great headbanging song. As I said earlier I have only listened to a handful of tracks off this album so I can not give a very conclusive and fulfilling review, I can however say that I am more than willing to purchase the album to listen to the rest of the songs but also that it is anotgher entry by a great band and should get newer fans interested in their older works. However if you don't thnk pirates are fun or have no interest or dislike the genre of pirate/folk metal you just might end up making this face.
